昨日の朝、いつもの広場に散歩に行ったときのこと。また新しいワンコが2頭増えていた。

Yesterday morning, when I went for a walk in the usual park. Two new dogs were added.

3ヶ月のオーストラリアン・シェパードです。飼い主さんと「初めましてですよね？」と挨拶。
This dog is a 3 month old Australian Shepherd. Say hello to the owner, “Did we meet for the first time?”

この子は8ヶ月のゴールデン・レトリバー。

This is an 8 month old Golden retriever.

その他の子も若いワンコばかりでみんな走り回って遊んでいるから、こなつはその中には入れず、遠くから見ているだけです。

All the other dogs are young and all run around and play, so Konatsu isn’t in it, just looking at it from a distance.

今日のこなつは珍しくみんなに近い所まで歩いてきた。でもこうしているだけです。10年前にこなつが初めてここに来た頃からだんだん世代交代が進み、とうとうこなつが最年長になってしまいました。まだ当分、最年長の座は譲れませんね。

Konatsu rarely walked to a place close to everyone. But she’s just doing this. Since the time when Konatsu first came here 10 years ago, the generations have gradually changed, and finally Konatsu has become the oldest. “For the time being, I can’t give up my oldest position.”

日曜日の夕方、暑さを避けるため18時過ぎに家を出て歩いていたらマー君に出会った。こなつもマー君もお互いに嬉しそうに走り寄ってジャレ始めたので一緒に散歩することにした。

On Sunday evening, I met Maron when I was taking a walk after 6 pm to avoid the heat. Both Konatsu and Maron happily ran up to each other and started jerking, so we decided to take a walk together.

マー君が朝の七里ヶ浜に来なくなって1年近くなるから、私がマー君に会ったは久しぶりだ。久しぶりに会ったマー君は随分落ち着いたような印象だったね。

It’s been almost a year since Maron didn’t come to Shichirigahama in the morning, so it’s been a while since I met him. Maron, who I met after a long time, had the impression that he was quite calm after he was three years old.

最近ほかのワンコに対して素っ気なくなってきたこなつにとって、マー君は気を許せる数少ないお友達と言えるのかもしれない。

Konatsu has recently become less comfortable with other dogs. So Maron may be one of the few friends that Konatsu can open up her mind.

家まであと5分の場所まで戻ってきて、この日はやや短い散歩だったけどこのまま帰ることにした。

I’m back home in 5 minutes. It was a short walk today, but I decided to go home as it is.

夕方の散歩に出かけたらすぐにマー君に会い一緒に歩いた。

As soon as I went for an evening walk, I met Maron and walked with him.

普段は夕方の散歩はこなつママが行くのだが、この日はママが2回目のワクチン接種をしたので大事を取って代わりに私が歩いたというワケです。

Normally, my wife goes for a walk in the evening, but on this day she got the second Covid-19 vaccination, so I took care of it and walked instead.

途中でシバちゃんも合流し、いつもの仲良し3頭の散歩になった。

Shiva joined us on the way, and it became the usual walk of three good friends.

そして今朝

黒柴の白玉君。ずっとカメラ目線をしてくれるので飼い主さんに訊いたら「いつもそうなんです。」とのこと。とてもカワイイ白玉君でした。。

今朝は家を出るのが遅くなり、七里ヶ浜の広場に着いたらワンコが沢山来ていた。

It was late to leave the house this morning, and when I arrived at the Shichirigahama park, many dogs were coming.

遠くに見えるのはニコちゃん。

柴犬のぽんた君。こなつとぽんちゃんは以前から相性が良いみたいです。

Shiba Inu Ponta. Konatsu and Ponta seem to be compatible with each other for a long time.

私が来るのが遅かったのでバーニーズのミオ君は帰るところでした。

Bernese mountain dog Mio was on his way home because I was late.

沢山のお友達と会えたからなのか家に戻ったときのこなつは嬉しそうな顔をしていました。

When I got home, Konatsu looked happy, probably because she met a lot of friends.

週明けは再び群馬出張で始まった。コロナ感染が第4波となりつつある状況ですが、私が行く群馬県甘楽町は殆ど感染者が出ていない地区だから安心ではあります。むしろ横浜ナンバーの車が走っていることに嫌な顔をされそう。。。

The beginning of the week started again on a business trip to Gunma. The Covid-19 infection is becoming the fourth wave, but I am relieved that Kanra Town, Gunma Prefecture, where I go, is an area where there are almost no infected people.

富士山にはまだ雪が残っている。

On the way, there is still snow on Mt. Fuji.

ここは圏央道の狭山PA、車の充電しながらコーヒーブレイク。この日は2度の事故渋滞があったため甘楽まで3時間半もかかってしまい、着いたのは診療開始の10分前！　こうして二日間の仕事を済ませて昨日家に戻ってきました。

This is Sayama PA on the Ken-O Expressway, a coffee break while charging the car. It took three and a half hours to get to Kanra because there were two accidents on that day, and I arrived 10 minutes before the start of work! After two days of work, I came back home yesterday.

浄化センターに着いたら1年ぶりにウメちゃんに会った！

When I arrived at the purification center, I met Ume for the first time in a year!

ウメちゃんは9歳になったそうです。顔も身体もやや白くなってしまったと飼い主さんは嘆いていたけど相変わらず食欲旺盛で、おやつを差し出すともっと頂戴状態でした。

Ume is 9 years old. The owner lamented that she had turned a little white on her face and body, but she was still appetizing, and when I offered her a snack she was “give me more.”

ウメちゃん、これからは時々来ます！と仰っていた。最近お友達が減っていたからこなつは嬉しいね。

最近、ワンコはどこの家庭でもペットというより家族の一員として生活しているし、私達もそういう気持ちでお友達ワンコと接しているから訃報はつらいものです。
２日前に、こなつの仲良しだったフー太君が虹の橋を渡りました。あと少しで16歳だったし、特に悪い病気でもなかったから大往生と言えるのかもしれない。

These days, dogs live as family members rather than pets in every home, and we treat our friends dogs with that feeling, so the news of death is painful. Two days ago, Futa, who was a good friend of Konatsu, crossed the rainbow bridge. He was just 16 years old, and he wasn’t particularly ill, so it might be a natural and peaceful death.

先月末までは元気に散歩して、その途中に我が家にも寄ってくれたりしたのですが、残念です。これはそのときの写真です。　こなつも私たちも寂しくなるねえ。。。

He took a good walk until the end of last month and stopped by at my house on the way. This is the photo at that time. Konatsu and we both feel lonely.

今朝の七里ヶ浜散歩で新しいワンコに逢いました。2年くらい前に亡くなったミーナ君の後釜のミオ君（ﾊﾞｰﾆｰｽﾞﾏｳﾝﾃﾝﾄﾞｯｸﾞ ♂ 3歳）です。ミオ君の以前の飼い主さんが飼い続けることが出来なくなり、ミオ君を引き取ったということでした。

I met a new face dog on a walk in Shichirigahama this morning. He is Mio (Bernese Mountain Dog ♂, 3 years old) and is the successor to Mina, who died about two years ago. Mio’s owner said that Mio’s former owner couldn’t continue to keep Mio, so he took Mio along to his home.

小さい画像がミーナ君。ミーナ君はやや太めだったから、飼い主さん曰く「今度はミオのあばら骨を触ることが出来る」のだそうです(笑)

The small photo is Mina. Mina was a little thick, so the owner said, “This time I can touch Mio’s ribs” (lol)

ミオ君は活発な男の子だからこなつは逃げ回っていました。仲良しになるには時間がかかりそう。。。

Mio was an active boy, so Konatsu was running away. It will take time to get along.

ミオ君と別れた後は裏庭を歩いて今朝の散歩は終了。

After saying goodbye to Mio, I walked in the backyard and this morning’s walk was over.

何だか冴えない顔してるねえ､､､

今朝の海は殆ど波がなく、サーファーの姿が見えない海でした。

There were almost no waves in the sea this morning, and I couldn’t see the surfers.

フー太君とパパさんが届け物をしに来てくれました。

Beagle dog Futa and his owner came to deliver something.

ほんのわずかな時間だったけど、こなつはフー太君が大好きだから思いがけぬ訪問に嬉しそうだ。

It was only a short time, but Konatsu loves Futa, so she looks happy with the unexpected visit.

ママがオヤツを持ってきたら2頭とも同じポーズで目で追ってる(笑)

When my wife brings a chicken jerky, both of them are tracing with their eyes in the same posture (lol)

今は来客も殆ど無いご時世だから、これだけの事でも楽しいね。

It’s a time when there are almost no visitors, so it’s fun to do just this.

昨日、動物病院の先生から「昨年末から体調を崩す子が増えていて、特にお腹を壊して下痢してる子が多いけど、こなつちゃんは大丈夫ですか？」と訊かれたが、こなつのお腹は特に丈夫だから何の心配もありません！

Yesterday, a veterinarian asked me, “Since the end of last year, the number of dogs that are sick has increased, and many dogs have diarrhea. Is Konatsu okay?”
“No worries! “

何気におすましポーズで歩き始める。

先ずはシバちゃんのお宅に行き、2頭で歩く。

こうして並んでみると、やっぱこなつはデッカイねえ。。。
次はフータ君に会いに歩いて行く。

When two of them walk side by side in this way, Konatsu is really big…
Next, they will walk to see Futa.

フータ君はこっちに向かって歩いている筈なのになかなか出会えず、フータ君ちの前まで行ってようやく会えた。

Futa was supposed to be walking towards me, but we couldn’t meet him, so we went to Futa and finally met him.

最近、夕方はいつもこの3頭で歩いている。こなつも楽しそうに見える。

These days, we are always walking with these three in the evening. Konatsu also looks fun.

フータ君はこなつより4歳年上だけど、そんな歳には見えないね。

Futa is four years older than Konatsu, but he doesn’t look like that.

夕方の散歩でした。

It was an evening walk.

３月になった。ということは、こなつの誕生日がもうすぐということでもある。

It’s already March. That also means that Konatsu’s birthday is just around the corner.

七里ヶ浜に集まるワンコの中でもいつの間にか最高齢になってしまった。とは言え、まだまだ元気なこなつです。

Konatsu has become the oldest dog in Shichirigahama. However, she is still energetic.

今朝はブルーノ君と会って、おはようのご挨拶。

Good morning greetings with Bruno.

しっかりアップに耐えられるイイお顔だねえ。　ブルーノ君はいつも私を見つけると近寄ってきてくれるんだけど、どうもそれはオヤツ狙いであるようで今朝も手が伸びてきた！

Even a close-up photo, Bruno has a nice face. He always approaches me when he finds me, but it seems that he is aiming for food, and he has reached out again this morning!

今日は月曜日だからか散歩に来たワンコが少なくて、みんな早々に帰って行った。こなつも２０分くらい歩いて散歩終了です。

Because today is Monday, there aren’t many dogs who came for a walk, so everyone went home early. Konatsu also walks for about 20 minutes and the walk is over.

帰り道、見慣れたいつもの風景ですが､､､

On the way home, it’s the usual scenery I’m used to, and …

今日は雲が低いのか、富士山がこんな見え方でした。

夕方になると「そろそろ散歩の時間じゃありませんか？」という顔をして催促するので、言われるがままに？散歩に出た。

In the evening, Konatsu urged me with a face saying, “It’s about time for a walk, isn’t it?”, So I went for a walk.

歩き始めたらすぐにフータ君、HANAちゃんに会い、一緒に散歩になり､､､

As soon as Konatsu started walking, she met Hoota and HANA and took a walk together …

We walked a lot and it was so dark when we got home.
