保護犬として我が家に来て長い月日がが過ぎ13歳になり、今では無くてはならない家族の一員
私の母は介護認定度が徐々に進み、2年前くらいから特養の七里ヶ浜ホームに入居していたが先月脳梗塞を発症し脳神経外科に入院した。そこでの診断はほぼ回復の見込み無し。94歳という年齢を考え「看取り介護」を選択することにした。現在は七里ヶ浜ホームに戻っていて、ほぼ毎日面会に行くのが日課になっている。そして今日も､､､
母は呼びかけても殆ど反応が無い状態なのだが、担当のケアマネさんが「今日は天気が良いから敷地内を車椅子で散歩しませんか？」と提案をしてくださり、数名のスタッフさんで母をベッドから車椅子に移して外に出てみた。
鎌倉といえば紫陽花、ここの敷地にもたくさん咲いている。見えているのかいないのか､､､
今日はこなつも連れてきていたので許可を得て一緒に写真に納まった。ワンコの癒し力が少しでも発揮されると良いけれど、どうだろね。
知らない人が周りに何人もいたのに、こなつは吠えたりせずお利口さんでした。
ときどき目を開ける程度しか反応は無いのだけれど、心地良い風と波の音を感じ取れているだろうか？
海外からの迷惑コメント、スパムメールが酷かったので2ヶ月ほど非公開にしてきましたが、そろそろほとぼりが冷めた頃かと思うので以前のように一般公開に戻しました。ただ当面は英文表記は止めておきます。これでまた迷惑コメントが入ってくるようになったら非公開に戻すかもしれません。
春のお彼岸からは少し遅れてしまったが、藤枝と菊川にお墓参りに行ってきた。
いつも藤枝に着くのがお昼時なのですが今回もそば処「木むら」で昼ご飯。毎回蕎麦粉が変わるのだが、今日のは山形県産でした。
ここの蕎麦はとても美味しい。そして昼にはランチ、ミニ蕎麦＋どんぶり各種で1,300円くらいがあり、これはミニ蕎麦＋小エビ天丼のセット。

その緒鼻湖の周りを夕方の散歩。昼は暑いくらいだったのにこの時間は寒い。
最近のこなつは大きないびきをかいて寝るようになった(笑)
そして翌朝
ここは今ちょうど桜が満開
このあと行った菊川のお寺でも満開
年々桜の開花時期が早まっているように思えるけど、それにも増して今年は早い。先週、群馬に仕事に行ったときに既に関越道の嵐山PAはもう満開。
これでは鎌倉の桜も今週末まで持つかどうか、なので一昨日出かけたついでに近場の桜を見に行ってきた。
こなつも一緒にね
ここは家を出てすぐの鎌倉山の桜。木によっては葉桜になりかけている。
これは鶴岡八幡宮前の若宮大路の段葛。まだ植え替えて10年も経たないくらいの若い木だから、あと10年位すればいい感じになるのだろう。
最後に、逗子ハイランドの桜並木
ここは車で走るとどこまで行っても桜並木が続く住宅街なのでビデオ撮影してみた。
日本政府の方針は2035年までに新車販売の電動車100%が目標だそうである。難題は山積みだけどそれはさて置き､､､ この日はいつものように群馬に仕事に行く日です。
我がこなつ号はPHEVだから電気とガソリン併用の車。カタログ値では充電満タンで60km走れることになっているが、新車でも一般道を走るとせいぜい40～50km。もう21万キロも走っているからバッテリーの充電容量も減り、今では電気では30kmくらいしか走れない。
この日は仕事が午後からで時間に余裕があるから、こまめに充電を繰り返してどれだけ燃費が伸びるかやってみた。そのことに気が付いたのは八王子付近を走行中だったので、そこからEV走行になった。
暫くEV走行を続けて、狭山SA近くでバッテリー残量がゼロになったのでここで充電。
1回の充電には30分かかるのだが音楽聴いたり、コーヒー飲んだりすればOK！
余談ですが写真はNHK-FMのかけるクラシックという番組、いつも聴いている。
その中に「かけくら川柳」というコーナーがあって、今月のお題はアニメとクラシック音楽。
こういうのに投稿なんてした事が無かったけど試しに応募してみた。
そのコーナーが始まり、毎週4首採用されるのだが聞いていたら､
神奈川県の「なっちゃんさん」からの､､､ と読まれたのでビックリした(笑)
「火の鳥は 聴く、観る、さらに 食べて良し」
手塚治さんの火の鳥ですが、私は火の鳥からは焼き鳥を連想しちゃうんです。ビールと焼き鳥を用意してBGMにｽﾄﾗｳﾞｨﾝｽｷｰの火の鳥でアニメを観るのも良いかもよ～！
と投稿したら、採用されちゃいました。しかも今週の最優秀作品にも上野耕平さんが選んでくださいました！ 月末に行われる今月のチャンピオン大会に進むんだって！ 大笑いです。
さて本題に戻って
八王子から狭山までEV走行したら平均燃費が21.2km/ℓになった。この先群馬までEV走行したらどれだけ燃費が伸びるかな？
鶴ヶ島JCTから関越道に入ります。この先の高坂SAで充電しようと思ったら日産リーフが充電中だった。最近EV車が増えてきたのでこういう事が良くある。仕方なくその次の充電器がある嵐山PAに向かい、バッテリー残量ゼロの状態で到着。
ここで再び充電。
丁度お昼時間だったのでお弁当を食べながら時間を潰す。
嵐山PAのタヌキ像は健在だ。
ここの桜の蕾は膨らんでいて、そろそろ咲き始めそうな感じ。
ほぼバッテリー満タンになった。ここまでの燃費は27.5km/ℓになっている。
最後にもう一度、上里SA(群馬と埼玉の県境)で充電する。充電3回ってことは、それだけで1時間半もかかる。EV車ならこんなに何度も充電は必要ないけれど、PHEVはそこが弱点。だけれども充電スポットが混んでいたらEV車はそれでも待たないとならないけど、PHEVならガソリンで走れるから充電しなくても良い。それがPHEVの良いところ。
正面に浅間山が見える。まだ雪が残っている。
ここに来て驚いたのは、今まで1台だった充電器が6台に増えていたこと。これなら待たされることもないし、全国の充電スポットがこうなれば嬉しい。それには時間がかかるだろうけど。
ここ上里SAまでの平均燃費は33.2km/ℓまで延びてきた。ここから先はもう充電は必要ない。
そして到着、最終的に燃費は37.2km/ℓだった。ということはここまでの距離180kmだから
180 ÷ 37.2 ＝4.8 ガソリン使用量は4.8リットル、時間はかかったけど悪くない！
早いものでもう13歳だ。
こなつは童顔だから知らない人からもときどき若いですねと言われるが、確実に老化が迫っている。特に階段の昇り降りはそろそろ介護用のハーネスが必要になりそうな感じがする。
ご近所の皆さまから誕生日プレゼントを沢山いただき、こなつは満更でもなさそうな顔だ。
これは今年のバースデープレート。毎年豪勢だ！このほかにママがケーキも用意している。
とても食いつきが良くて､､､
あっという間に完食だった。食欲が無くなったら心配だけど、そういう心配はまだ当分必要なさそう。こなつの目標はあくまでも20歳だが、これからは一年一年を大切に過ごしていこう。

私の妹のご主人が昨年亡くなり、その一周忌で岡崎まで行ってきた。こなつを置いて行く訳にもいかず一緒に車に乗せて出掛けた。
My sister’s husband passed away last year and we went to Okazaki for the first anniversary of his death. We couldn’t leave Konatsu behind, so we drove out together.
東名高速の御殿場の手前で５台の玉突き事故があり、当初は2km5分の渋滞と表示されたのだが全く進まず、実際には7kmの渋滞で抜けるのに1時間かかった。これで間に合うの？という感じだったが何とか岡崎のお寺に到着。
There was a five-car pileup on the Tomei Expressway just before Gotemba, and the traffic jam was initially indicated as 2km/5minutes, but it never moved, and in fact it was 7km long and took us an hour to get through. We were worried that we would not make it in time, but somehow we made it and arrived at the temple in Okazaki.
そして無事に一周忌の法要が終わり、そのまま鎌倉まで帰るのも大変なのでその日は天城高原の東急ハーベストに泊まることにした。到着は夜になったのでその日は部屋で夕飯を済ませ、後は寝るだけ。
After the memorial service, we decided to stay the night at Tokyu Harvest in Amagi Kogen, because it would have been difficult to go back to Kamakura. Since we arrived at night, we just had dinner in our room and went to bed.

ここは伊豆半島の真ん中に位置していて、今が見頃の河津桜の河津まで近いので明日はそれを見てから帰ろうと思っている。
This place is located in the middle of Izu Peninsula, close to Kawazu, where the Kawazu cherry blossoms are at their best right now. Tomorrow, I plan to go see them and then return home.
天気予報によれば寒気の影響で明日から寒くなるらしい。

散歩が終わる頃にはちょうどいい具合にお腹が空いてきたのでレストランに向かう。

関東地方が大雪になりそうと昨日からニュースが報じている。そんな中、私は昨日から群馬に仕事に来ているのですが、朝9時の時点ではまだ雪の気配はない。
The news has been reporting since yesterday that the Kanto region is about to experience heavy snowfall. Such is the case, but I have been in Gunma for work since yesterday, and as of 9:00 a.m., there is still no sign of snow.
まもなく雪が降り始め、一気に積もりそうな感じになってきた。

天気予報によるとこれからますます激しく降りそうだし、高速道路の情報をみると雪による様々な規制や通行止めが出始めている。このまま夕方まで仕事すると私は家に帰れなくなる恐れがあり、それを心配した院長が私の夕方の仕事をキャンセルしてくれた。

そんな訳で昼過ぎには仕事を終え、これは上信越道を走っているところ。

標高の高い八王子まではけっこう降ったけれど、高尾山を過ぎたら雪は雨に変わり、これなら最後まで仕事しても良かったなあという感じ。

家に着いてこなつのお出迎えを受ける、これが嬉しい瞬間！ こなつはちょうど夕方の散歩に出かけるところだ。

気持ち良さそうに休んでいるところ申し訳ないけど、ちょっと歯を見せてね｡｡｡
I’m sorry to interrupt your comfortable rest, but let me see your teeth for a second.
先月動物病院で歯石取りしたときに指摘されたんだけど、こなつな年齢なりに歯周病が進行して僅かに歯の動揺も見られるとのこと。今はまだそれほど歯石は付着してないけど歯磨きすることは大切！
When I took her to the veterinary clinic last month for a tartar removal, they pointed out that her periodontal disease had progressed to the point where her teeth were slightly shaking, in keeping with her age. She doesn’t have much tartar on her teeth yet, but it’s important to brush her teeth!
しばらく歯磨きをサボっていたのでこれを買ってきた。
I bought this for Konatsu since I haven’t brushed her teeth for a while.
こなつは歯磨きや目薬など、イヤな事だと分かっていても大人しくそれに応じる。これはこなつのとても良いところだ。
Konatsu will comply with brushing her teeth and applying eye drops even when she knows it’s something she doesn’t want to do. This is a very good thing about Konatsu.

今日、29日は近所の肉屋で肉の日セールをやっている。
Today is the 29th. In Japanese, 29 has the same meaning as meat. So the butcher in my neighborhood is having a meat bargain today.
この日は毎回買い物客が殺到して駐車場に入るのに苦労するので今日は店まで歩いて行くことにした。
Every time on this day, there is a rush of shoppers and it is hard to get into the parking lot, so I decided to walk to the store today.
坂の途中から店の駐車場を見ると、やっぱりね、満車だ。
When I looked at the parking lot from the middle of the hill, I knew it was full.
右側が肉の直売店で、左側は焼き肉店になっている。
On the right side is a factory-direct meat store, and on the left side is a barbecue restaurant.
ママが買い物してる間、私とこなつは店の外で待機している。

ママがこなつの肉も買ってるということを分かっているのだろうか､､､？

ここは埼玉県と群馬県の県境にある上里SA、ここで休憩することにした。
This is Kamisato SA, located on the border of Saitama and Gunma prefectures, where I decided to take a break.
平日の午前９時頃だが結構混んでいる。
It was around 9:00 a.m. on a weekday, but it was quite crowded. I guessed there were about half commercial vehicles and half tourists.
最近はあちこちのSAでスタバを見かける。が、ここは素通りして先ずはトイレ。
Recently, I have seen Starbucks at many SAs. However, I passed by this place and went to the restroom first.
内部は写せないけどいつも清掃員が掃除していて清潔だし、当然ウォシュレットが完備されている。そういうところも海外の人には魅力的なんだろうね。
I can’t take a picture of the inside, but the toilets are always cleaned by cleaners and of course equipped with electronic toilet. I guess that kind of thing is attractive to people from overseas.
この日は２台のキッチンカーが営業中。手前が焼きそば、奥のはホットドッグ。
On this day, two food trucks were in operation. The one in front is yakisoba noodles and the one in the back is various hot dogs.

フードコートの隣にはショッピングコーナーがあり、この地方の特産品などのお土産が売られている。

その更に奥にはレストランが営業中だけど、この時間には殆どお客さんはいないね。

ATMに、宝くじ売り場、チケットカウンター。こういうのがあるのも海外のSAでは珍しいのだろうか？

焼いただけの下仁田ネギ。皮1枚を剥いて食べると中はトロトロで旨い。
Shimonita leeks, just grilled. When you peel off the skin and eat it, the inside is tender and delicious. It’s hard to describe the food from here on out, so you’ll just have to guess from the pictures.

これはもらえないと悟ったこなつは諦めて寝る態勢。楽しい飲み会でした。
Konatsu, realizing that she would not get it, gave up and went to bed. It was a fun night.
今日はこなつママが元町の歯医者に定期検診に行く日なので、私とこなつも一緒に元町まで行き、終わるのを待つ間その界隈を散歩することにした。
Today is the day my wife goes to the dentist’s office in Motomachi for a routine checkup, so Konatsu and I decided to go with her to Motomachi and take a walk around the area while we wait for her to finish.
まだ商店街は開店時間前。ママを下ろして港の見える丘公園に向かった。
It was still before opening time in the shopping arcade. I dropped my wife off and headed for Harbor View Park.
公園内はいくつかのブロックに分かれていて、ここは英国ローズガーデン。今は時期じゃないから残念ながらバラは咲いていません。
The park is divided into several blocks, and this is the English Rose Garden. Unfortunately, the roses are not in bloom because it is not the right time of year.
気温は低いが日差しが強くて、歩いていると暑いくらいに感じられた。
The temperature was low but the sun was strong and it felt hot as we walked around.
ここからは横浜港の眺めが良い。
There is a nice view of Yokohama Harbor from here.
その一角にあるガンダムドック。動くガンダムは健在のようだ。
The Gundam dock is located in one of the corners. The moving Gundam seems to be alive and well.
今年の3月末で公開終了らしいので見たい方はお早めに！

こなつには興味無さそうな場所だね。こうしているうちにママの治療が終わり、合流して場所を移動。

行ってみたら1Fの軽食の方は満席で何人か待っていたので、じゃあ2Fに行ってしっかり食べちゃいましょう！ ということで､､､
When we got there, the first floor restaurant was full and there were a few people waiting, so let’s go to the second floor and have a good meal! So…
こっちは一組しかお客が居なかった。
There was only one customer here.
結局、満腹になるほど食べてしまいました(笑)
In the end, we ate so much that we were full, lol.
もう夕飯は食べられない！と言いながらもまだメニューを見ているママ｡｡｡
I don’t even need dinner tonight! she said. But my wife is still looking at the menu….
たまには街中に出かけてみるのも良いもんだ。
It’s good to go out in the city once in a while.
以前、このブログへのアクセス数の多い国の上位をご紹介したことがありしたが、今日はアクセス数の少ない国を見てみます。このブログ（Ver.3）を始めてから2年半が経過して、その間に97ヶ国からのアクセスがありました。下の表の20ヶ国はこの2年半の間に1人だけ見に来てくれたという事が分かります。
I have previously presented the top countries with the most access to this blog, and today I will look at the countries with the least access. Two and a half years have passed since I started this blog (Ver. 3), and in that time I have had access from 97 countries. The 20 countries in the table below shows that only one person came to see this blog during these two and a half years.
ところで、現在世界に国の数はいくつあるのか知らないので調べてみたら､､､
現時点で日本が承認している国の数は195ヶ国だった。そして日本が承認していない国が3つあり、北朝鮮・パレスチナ・台湾。その中で台湾はやや意外な感じがするが外務省のサイトによると、日本は中国への配慮から政府間の公式接触は控えているが台湾に承認の「国家」があるという前提で各種の実務を処理しているのだそうである。

正月が明けた頃に、以前両親が生活していた1Fの部屋を片付けていたら鶴岡八幡宮のお札が見つかった。多分10年以上経過しているから薄汚れている。
Around the beginning of the New Year, when I was cleaning up the room on the first floor where my parents used to live, I found an Ofuda from Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. It was probably more than 10 years old, so it was dirty.

このまま捨てるわけにもいかず八幡宮に納めに行こうということになった。
We could not just throw it away, so we decided to return it to Tsurugaoka Hachiman Shrine.
さて、ワンコはどこまで入って良いのか､､､ 調べてみると奥の階段の前までは行っても良いらしい。だが、今日は平日だけどけっこう混んでいるのですぐそこに見える太鼓橋の手前までにして私とこなつママが交代で入ることにした。
I wondered how far dogs are allowed to go in the park, and found out that they are allowed to go as far as the stairs at the back of the park. Even so, it was a weekday today, but it was quite crowded, so we decided to take Konatsu as far as the arched bridge, and my wife and I would take turns going up to the end of the bridge.
ママを待つ間、橋の左側の平家池が見える辺りにいた。ここなら人も少ないし、こなつはビビらずに待っていられる。
While waiting for my wife, we stayed at the left side of the bridge where we could see Heike Pond. There were few people here, and Konatsu could wait without being scared.
ママが戻ってきたので今度は私が行く番。
My wife came back and it was my turn to go.

我が家の初詣は片瀬の諏訪神社に行くことにしている。三が日は混むので今年は7日に行ってきた。
Our family’s Hatsumode (first shrine visit of the New Year) is to Suwa Shrine in Katase. This year we went on the 7th because it is crowded on the fiert three days of January.

明日までは群馬で仕事ですが、ここ甘楽町は四方に農村風景が広がるのどかな場所。たまに来るのにはとても良い所です。

昨日の朝、こなつは食欲が無く朝食を食べなかった。夜ママに電話したら夕飯は食べたとの事だが、最近はそんな些細なことでも心配になる。
Yesterday morning, Konatsu had no appetite and did not eat breakfast. When I called my wife at night, she said Konatsu had eaten dinner, but even such a trivial thing worries me these days. She is an old dog now.
早朝に起きての応援も虚しくクロアチアに負けてしまった。今回はベスト8までは行けるかなと思っていただけに残念、まあ仕方ないし4年後に期待しよう。
I woke up early in the morning to cheer for the Japanese team in the World Cup, but unfortunately they lost to Croatia. It was a pity, because I thought we could make it to the top eight this time, but it can’t be helped, and I look forward to the next four years.
だけど楽しいスポーツ観戦はまだまだある。今度は来年のWBCワールドベースボールクラシックが3月に開催されるのでこれを楽しもう。1次ラウンドから準々決勝ラウンドまでは日本でも試合をするのでチケット買って生観戦したいと思ったが、もう既にすべて売り切れだった。大谷もダルビッシュも出場することになったから侍ジャパンは良いとこまで行くんじゃないかと期待している。それが終わると高校野球も始まるし、沢山の楽しみが待っている！
But there are still more fun sports games to watch. Next year’s World Baseball Classic will be held in March, so let’s enjoy that. I tried to buy tickets to watch the games from the first round to the quarterfinal round, which are also played in Japan, but all the tickets were already sold out. Otani and Darvish are both going to play, and I am looking forward to baseball, I think it will be better than soccer.
