私が仕事に出かける＝こなつはお留守番、というのが普段の決まりなのですが、私が出かけるのを察知すると階段の途中に行き、こうして通せんぼをするのです。
When I go to work, it means that Konatsu has to stay at home, but when Konatsu senses that I’m going out, she goes to the middle of the stairs and blocks the way.
「これでもあたしを置いて行く気ですか？」というアピールなのだろう。

私がこなつを跨いで通り過ぎても動こうとせず、目だけが私を追っている。

最後の最後まで「ホントに行っちゃうの？」と目で訴えている。これを無視して素通りするのは難しく、いつも5～10分はこなつの相手をしてから出かけるのです。。。
