保護犬として我が家に来て長い月日がが過ぎ13歳になり、今では無くてはならない家族の一員
こなつママの所用が終わるまで1時間ちょっとあったので七里ヶ浜海岸へ行ってみた。
他県ナンバーが多い。しかもサーファーっぽい車が目立つ。
では浜辺に降りてみよう
ここにもサーフボードがズラリ。でも持ち主らしき姿が見えないってことは一人で何枚か持ってきてるの？
今日は曇り空だから暑くなくて良かった。
相変わらず水が嫌いなこなつはこの辺りまで来るのが精一杯で、リードを引っ張っても踏ん張ったまま波打ち際までは行こうとしない。水嫌いは直りそうにないね。
まだ時間が余ってるのでpacific drive-in まで行ってコーヒー！
周りからカワイイカワイイって声が聞こえ、飼い主としてはちょっと嬉しかった(笑)
そろそろ時間なので七里ヶ浜商店街に戻り、ママを待つことに､､､
まだ11時前なのに珊瑚礁本店の前にはもう行列が出来ていた。この後、車で海岸沿いを走ったら珊瑚礁もアマルフィもみんな長蛇の列！
私の母は老人介護施設に入居しているが、コロナが流行して以来ずっと面会が出来ず、ZOOMでのオンライン面会だけに制限されていた。今月ようやく施設内での面会が許可されるようになり私の妹が愛知県からやってきた。
ここ、七里ヶ浜ホームはこんなロケーション、母もここが気に入っているようだ。
平日の昼間はサーファーも少なくてのどかな感じ。 さて本題の面会だ
これは窓の外から撮った写真で、こんな風に面会する。この面会の最後に窓を開けてこなつと会うことが許可されたので､､､
実は、面会の初めの辺りで母はこなつママと自分の娘(私の妹)が誰だか分からず戸惑っていたが徐々に解ってきたらしい。ところがこなつのことはすぐに解り、この笑顔。ワンコの力は凄いねえ！
最後には和やかな面談終了になった。
車に戻る時、こなつは後ろを振り返りながら歩いていた。癒し犬のお仕事ごくろうさん！
家に戻って、こなつも少し疲れたかな？
妹は我が家に一泊するので、これから宴会が始まる。
ここからはママが大活躍で、先ずは竹輪に新生姜を詰めたフライ
大豆のカレー煮
ようやく解禁になった生シラス。これを食べると湘南の春を実感する。
その前日のシラス漁の網に成長したイワシも入っていたそうで、いわし干しを炙る。
お酒はビールから白ワインに移っている。まあ私の妹だからね、酒は強い(笑)
モッツァレラと苺とトマトのサラダ。バルサミコで味付け
焼いたバゲットに釜揚げシラスのクリームチーズディップ、これが超合う！
野菜の煮浸し
赤ワインに移り、軽めのピノノワール
〆はタケノコ御飯と ひじきと青菜の白和え
面会と宴会、どっちがメイン？みたいな日だった。
いつも朝の散歩で七里ヶ浜に行っているのになかなか浜辺に出ないので今日は行ってみた。
I always go to Shichirigahama for my morning walk, but I don’t often go to the beach, so I went there today.
人が少ないのでこなつは快調に歩く。
Konatsu was walking well because there were few people.
道路の方を見上げると、左から二つ目のクリーム色の建物は日本のバレエ発祥の地だ。昭和2年に、ロシアから亡命したパブロワさんという人がここでバレエスクールを開設した。
Looking up at the road, the second cream-colored building from the left is the birthplace of ballet in Japan. In 1927, a Russian exile named Pavlova opened a ballet school here.

ときどき大きい波が我々の足元近くまで寄せてくる。
Sometimes large waves come close to our feet.
すると水が嫌いなこなつは慌てて逃げだす(笑)

歩くならここら辺がイイわ｡｡｡と言ってそう
She seems to be saying, “If I want to walk, this is the best place to walk…”
七里ヶ浜に流れ込む行合川
This is the Yukiai River flowing into Shichirigahama-beach.
この階段を上がって堤防の上を歩こう。

駐車場の中を歩いて行くとカフェレストランがある。
There is a cafe-restaurant when we walk in the parking lot.
ここは海を眺めながらのんびりするには絶好のロケーション

9月です。朝の散歩はいつも通りに5:30過ぎに家を出ますが、夏に比べて辺りが暗くなった。
September. Konatsu’s morning walk leaves the house after 5:30 a.m. as usual, but the area is darker than in summer.
気温は随分下がり朝晩は涼しく感じられるから散歩にはちょうどいいね。
Temperatures have dropped a lot and the mornings and evenings feel cooler, so it’s perfect for a walk.
今日は土曜日ですが、湘南海岸は真夏の朝のような混雑は見られなくなったかな。
Today is Saturday, but I guess Shonan Beach is no longer as crowded as it was on a midsummer morning.
広場に到着。
Arrived at the park.
昨日の雨であちこちに水溜まりが出来ている。昨日の午前中は湘南方面は凄い雷雨だったらしいのですが、仕事場にいた私にママからラインが入り、「カミナリの音が怖いこなつは家の中を逃げ回り、座布団の上でビビリションして4枚も濡らしてしまった！」という事だった。子犬の頃は雷も花火の音も平気だったのにいつの頃からか苦手になってしまった。
Yesterday’s rain created puddles of water here and there. I heard that there was a great thunderstorm in the Shonan area yesterday morning, and my wife e-mailed me at work and said, “Konatsu, who is afraid of the sound of thunder, ran around the house, and had an accident on the cushions, and got four cushions wet!” That’s what happened. When she was a puppy, she was fine with the sound of thunder and fireworks, but since she became an adult dog, she has become a terror.
アンズちゃんに会った。
We met Anne.
そこへハウル君も登場。昨日のカミナリの話を訊くと、アンちゃんは全然平気だけどハウル君は苦手なんだって。ワンコによっていろいろだね。
Then Howl appeared on the scene. When I asked his owner about yesterday’s thunderstorm, he told me that Howl was not good at it either. Anne’s owner told me that Anne was totally fine with it. It depends on the dog.
普段こなつは自分からはワンコの集団の中に入って行こうとしないけど、今朝はみんなが集まってきてくれたからこんな写真が撮れた。それでもこなつは遠巻きに見ていて積極的に遊ぼうとはしない。
Konatsu usually doesn’t try to join a group of dogs on her own, but this morning everyone gathered around so I was able to take this picture. Even so, Konatsu was watching from afar and not actively trying to play with them.

このあとお決まりのコースを1周歩いて散歩終了です。
After this, we walked a lap around our usual course to finish the walk.
足を拭いてるアンちゃんにサヨナラして、こなつも家に帰ります。
We said good-bye to Anne wiping her feet, and Konatsu went home.
こなつママを美容院に送って行ったら、昨日は七里ヶ浜商店街の夏祭りだった。人混みが苦手なこなつだけれど少し歩いてみた。
After dropping my wife and daughter off at the hair salon, I went to the Shichirigahama shopping street for the summer festival yesterday. Konatsu is not fond of crowds, but she took a short walk.
このときは午前中で、まだそれほど人が多くなかったのでこなつも歩くことができた。
It was mid-morning and there were not so many people yet, so Konatsu was able to walk around.
七里ヶ浜は知名度では全国区だろうけど、西友とココカラファインと、後は商店が幾つかあるだけの小さな町です。
Shichirigahama is famous throughout Japan, but it is a small town with only a small supermarket, a drugstore, and a few other stores.
カレーの有名店「珊瑚礁本店」の前にはすでに行列が出来ていた。
There was already a line in front of “Sangoshou”, a famous curry restaurant.
食欲をそそる屋台がたくさん出店していたが、私は車だからお酒が飲めないしここでは我慢！
Lots of stalls with delicious looking food were set up, but since I was driving, I couldn’t drink, so I held off on eating here!
短い時間だったけどこなつもこの中を歩いてきました。と突然音楽が鳴り響き､､､
We walked through this place for a short time. And all of a sudden the music started blaring, and…
昼のひとときでした。
It was a morning moment.
帰りの車の中で、娘とこなつが笑ってる。良い写真でしょ！

今日の午前中、こなつを連れて七里ヶ浜の浜辺に行ってみた。
This morning, I took Konatsu to the beach at Shichirigahama.
シーカヤックだろうか？普段はあまり見かけないけど、今日はサーファーよりこっちの方が存在感がある。
Sea kayakers, perhaps? I usually don’t see many of them, but today this one has more presence than the surfer.
それを見ている人たちもこんなに大勢。
So many people watching them, too.
こなつは人混みは嫌いだから、人が少ない場所を探して歩いてきた。もっと気温が上がって砂が熱くなるとワンコ達はそこを歩けなくなってしまうが今日はまだ大丈夫。
Konatsu doesn’t like crowds, so we walked around looking for a place with fewer people. When the temperature rises more and the sand gets hotter, the dogs won’t be able to walk there, but today is still fine.
30分くらい歩いていると、どんどん人が増えてきたので早めに帰ることにして､､､
After walking for about 30 minutes, more and more people started to arrive, so we decided to leave early, and…
帰りに生シラスと釜揚げシラスを買ってきて、今日の昼ご飯はシラス丼です。
On the way home, I bought some raw whitebait and boiled whitebait, and today’s lunch is a bowl of whitebait.

今日はこなつママの美容院の日なので七里ヶ浜まで送って、終わるまでの約1時間半をこなつと歩くことにした。実は1週間ほど前にスマホに歩数計のアプリを入れたのですが、まだ最高でも8,000歩/日くらい。なので運動を兼ねて歩こうというわけ。
Today is my wife’s day to go to the hair salon, so I dropped her off at Shichirigahama and decided to walk around Kamakura-Hiromachi Forest with Konatsu for about an hour and a half until she was done. I actually installed a pedometer app on my phone about a week ago, but I’m still up to about 8,000 steps/day. So, I decided to walk for exercise as well.
鎌倉広町緑地は市内で一番規模の大きな森で総面積は48ヘクタールだそうな。
Kamakura Hiromachi Forest is the largest forest in the city, with a total area of 48 hectares.
(48 hectares is equivalent to 118 acres)
ではいつもの広場の駐車場に車を置いて、さあ出発！ 後ろの森が広町緑地の東端だ。
So we left the car in the parking lot of the usual plaza, and off we went! The forest behind us is the eastern edge of the Hiromachi Forest.
浄化センター入り口から森に入るとすぐに急坂を上る。
As soon as we entered the forest from the entrance of the purification center, we went up a steep slope.
動物の匂いがするのだろうか？こなつはあちこちでこうして匂いを嗅いでいる。
Does it smell like an animal? Konatsu is sniffing here and there like this.
坂を上りきるとこんな道になるが、それでもアップダウンが激しい。昨日の雨で道がぬかるんでいるから下り坂では要注意だ。
After climbing up the hill, we came to this road, but it was still very up and down. The road was muddy from yesterday’s rain, so we had to be careful on the descents.

After walking for a while…
木に番号を書いて透明なシートが貼り付けられていた。なんだろう？
There was a transparent sheet attached to the tree with a number written on it. What is it?
どうやらこういう事らしい。後で調べてみたら、ここ数年、神奈川県内でナラ枯れ病が確認され、コナラやシイ・カシの木が枯れるという被害が広がっているらしい。カシナガという小さな虫が媒介して菌が樹木の内部に持ち込まれるそうです。その対策として薬を注入したり、シートを巻いたりしているとのこと。
Apparently, this is what happened. I later found out that oak wilt has been confirmed in Kanagawa Prefecture in the past few years, causing widespread damage to Quercus serrata and Shii oak trees. It is said that the fungus is brought inside the trees by a small insect called “kashinaga”. As a countermeasure, they are injecting medicine into the trees and wrapping sheets around them.
その被害に遭った木はこうなってしまうんだって。知らなかった。
This is what happens to the trees that are damaged. I didn’t know that.
再び散歩に戻ります。我々は⑪の入り口から入り、現在⑬に来ています。
Back to the walk again. We entered through entrance ⑪ and are now at ⑬.
相模湾が見渡せ、その向こうに見えるのは三浦半島です。この後、七里ヶ浜入り口まで歩いて森を出て、外周コースを歩いて出発地点に戻るつもり。
From here, we could see Sagami Bay and beyond that, the Miura Peninsula. After this, I plan to walk to the entrance of ⑭Shichirigahama, leave the forest, and walk the outer course back to the starting point.
ここが七里ヶ浜出口。さっきの入り口からの距離は2kmちょっとくらいかな。
This is the Shichirigahama exit. The distance from the entrance is about 2km.
出るとすぐに住宅街
As soon as we got out, it was a residential area.
ここからはいつも車で通っている道を下って行きます。
From here, we went down the same road we always drive on.
その途中の「雨乞の池」 それは、鎌倉時代の干ばつに苦しんだ年に日蓮上人がここでお経を唱え、大雨が降ったという伝説の地。
On the way, there is a pond called “A pond begging for rain.”. There is a legend that during the Kamakura period (1185-1333), when the area was suffering from a drought, Saint Nichiren chanted a sutra here and it rained heavily.
下り坂が続くからこなつの足取りも軽いね。
Konatsu’s footsteps were light as she continued downhill.

At the end of the road, the descent ends.
こなつもやれやれという顔だ。
Konatsu also looked tired.
ようやく出発地点の浄化センターが見えてきた。
At last, we could see the purification center where we started.
よく歩いたなあ､､､と歩数計を見てみると
When I looked at my pedometer, I realized that I had walked a lot…..
がぁ～ん。。。。 たったの4800歩しか歩いてない
でもまあ山道を登ったり下ったりだから歩数以上の運動量だ！と自己満足(笑)
No way ! I only walked 4,800 steps.
But well, I went up and down the mountain path, so I got more exercise than my steps! I can’t help but feel satisfied with myself lol
帰り道、海がキレイ。
On the way back, the ocean was beautiful.
久しぶりに雪道走行を味わえた二日間でした。昨日は首都高速が殆どの区間で通行止めになったけれど、横浜新道～首都高1号横羽線のルートだけは通れたので仕事にも行けたのでした。
It was two days that I could enjoy driving on a snowy road for the first time in a long time. Yesterday, the Metropolitan Expressway was closed for most sections, but I was able to go to work because I could only pass the route from Yokohama Shindo to Metropolitan Expressway K1 Yokohane Line.
家の前の坂道は凍結していたけれど、タイヤはSUV専用のBLIZZAK DM-V3。凍結するとスタッドレスでも危ないのは承知しているが特に問題は無かった。
The slope in front of my house was frozen, but my tires are BLIZZAK DM-V3 for SUVs. I know that studless tires are dangerous if frozen, but there was no particular problem.
そして今日、道路上の雪はほぼ無くなっていたが七里の広場に着いてみると､､､

場所によってはまだこんなに雪が残っていた。
There was still so much snow in some places.
雪が降ってからずっとテンションが高いこなつなのです。
Konatsu has been in high tension since it snowed.
何となく、行かなくてはならないような気持になってしまうのが初日の出。今年も七里ヶ浜の海岸まで行ってきました。
Somehow, “Hatsuhinode” makes me feel like I have to go. Hatsuhinode is the first sunrise of the year. In Japan, it is celebrated as the first crack of dawn once a year and lot of people visit to see the Hatsuhinode. So, I went to the coast of Shichirihama again this year.
R134は大渋滞してるから鎌倉山から七里ヶ浜に向かう道を経由して、到着したのは日の出時間の5分前だった。ギリギリセーフ！
Since R134 is in heavy traffic, I arrived 5 minutes before sunrise time via the road from Mt. Kamakura to Shichirigahama. Just on time！ There were already a lot of people
朝焼けに染まる富士山もキレイだ。
Mt. Fuji in the morning glow is also beautiful.
am06:51、初日の出です。いつもと同じなのに初日の出は何故かおめでたく感じる。
It is the first sunrise at 06:51 am. Even though it is the same as usual, I feel congratulations on the first sunrise for some reason.

今月から私の母は七里ヶ浜ホームに入居している。現在面会は予約制で今日がその当日。
From this month my mother has moved into the Shichirigahama nursing home. Currently, the visit is by appointment and today is the day.
こなつも車に一緒に乗ってきたけどワンコは入れないからここでお留守番。
Konatsu also got in the car, but dogs can’t enter, so Konatsu waits here.
館内に入るとあちこちがクリスマス仕様に飾られている。歳を取ってもクリスマスは楽しいと感じるのだろうか？私にはまだ分からない。
When I entered the hall, everywhere was decorated with a Christmas atmosphere. Do old people still find Christmas fun at that age? I still don’t know it.
面会は衝立越しで15分以内という決まりのようだ。母は思っていた以上に元気そうで、ここでの暮らしに満足していると言っていた。
It is a rule that the visit is within 15 minutes. My mother looked better than I expected, and she said she was happy with her life here.

昔はこういう施設に入るのは嫌だといっていたけれど、今日の感じなら安心できる。

今朝も七里ヶ浜に行ってきました。遠くにワンコが沢山いるのが見えるけど、こなつは何故かそこへ向かおうとせず､､､

誰も居ない静かな裏庭の方が好きみたい。
Konatsu seems to prefer a quiet backyard with nobody.
しばらく歩いて元の場所に戻るとアンちゃんがいたので、私もそこに座ってパパさんと世間話。
After walking for a while and returning to the place where I first came, Anne was there, so I sat there and talked with the owner.
朝はかなり涼しく秋らしくなってきた。
It’s getting pretty cool in the morning and it’s getting more like autumn.
この子はブルーノ君。こなつとはまあまあ相性が良い。

昨日まで群馬出張だったので三日ぶりの朝の散歩です。
It’s Sunday morning. I was on a business trip to Gunma until yesterday, so this is my first morning walk in three days.
昨日と一昨日は夏が戻ったような暑さでしたが今朝は割と涼しい。
It was hot as if summer had returned yesterday and the day before yesterday, but this morning it is relatively cool.
私の到着がいつもより遅かったのでアンちゃんは散歩を終えて帰る直前でした。
My arrival was later than usual, Ann was just before returning after finishing her walk.

この2頭もそろそろお帰りのようです。と言ってもまだ6時過ぎだから早い時間ですけどね。

オーストラリアンケルピーのルナちゃんはこなつの姿を見つけると走ってきてくれるのですが、こなつは一緒に遊ぼうとしない。
Luna from Australian Kelpie runs when she finds a figure of Konatsu, but Konatsu doesn’t try to play with her.
ハウル君とは相性良さそうなんだけど、こなつが昔のようには走らなくなってしまったからね。
It seems to go well with Howl, but Konatsu doesn’t run like it used to.
最近のこなつは、こうしてみんなの様子を見ていることが多いのです。
These days, Konatsu often looks at everyone in this way.
七里ヶ浜の広場ですが、夏の間、雑草が伸びて歩きにくくなっていたのだが、草が刈られていた。
It was a park in Shichirigahama, but weeds had been growing and it was difficult to walk since before summer, but the grass was mowed.
最近までは下の写真のような状態だったのです。
Until recently, it was like the picture below.
これだと朝露で濡れるし、草の実がこなつの身体にくっついたり、ダニも心配だったけど、今日からは安心して歩ける。
With this, it gets wet with morning dew, grass fruits stick to Konatsu’s body, and I was worried about mites, but from today I can walk with peace of mind.
今朝はワンコに会うたびに「歩きやすくなって良かったですね！」が挨拶になっていた。
Every time I met someone this morning, the greeting was “I’m glad it was easier to walk!”
メインの広場の方は以前のままだけど、こっちはそれほど伸びてないからまだ大丈夫。
The main park is the same as before, but it’s still okay because it’s not growing that much.
草刈りなんて些細な出来事だけど、なんだか嬉しい。
Mowing is a trivial matter, but I’m happy.

朝、目が覚めたら雨も風も強い。
A typhoon is approaching, and when I wake up in the morning, the rain and wind are strong.
こんな日でもこなつの散歩は欠かせません。
Even on such a day, a walk is indispensable for Konatsu.
では出発。いつもと同じ海沿いの道を通っていきます。

到着したがけっこう激しい雨が降っていて、こなつは「ここを歩くの？」みたいな顔してる。
When I arrived, it was raining quite heavily, and Konatsu looked like “Are you walking here?”
ここは割と水捌けが良いグラウンドだけど、もうこんな水溜まりになっている。さっと一回りして今朝の散歩は終了です。
This is a relatively well-drained ground, but it’s already a puddle like this. After a quick round, this morning’s walk is over.
短い散歩だったけどこなつはビショ濡れ。。。

帰り道、こんな台風でもサーファーは海に入りたいんだなぁ。

今日は日曜日ってこともあるけど大勢入ってる。

毎日朝から暑い日が続いています。今朝はいつもより早く起きて涼しいうちに散歩に行くことにした。
Even in the morning, hot days continue every day. I decided to get up earlier this morning and go for a walk while it was cool.
いつもより1時間近く早い出発です。

6時前は涼しいし、お友達ワンコもたくさん来てたからこなつの顔も楽しそうに見える。
It was cool before 6 o’clock, and many of my friend dogs came, so the face of Konatsu looks fun.
近寄ってきたモアナちゃんをこなつが吠えて威嚇したら、モアナちゃんは降参(笑)
When Moana approached, Konatsu barked and threatened. “I yield” said Moana(lol)
6時過ぎにはみなさん帰っていきます。
Everyone will be back after 6 o’clock.
こなつもこれで帰ります。
Konatsu will also be back with this.
早朝のひと時でした。明日からも早く来た方が良さそうだね。

曇っていたので気温がそれほど上がらず、散歩するにはちょうど良い天気でした。
It was cloudy so the temperature didn’t rise so much and it was just right for a walk.
相変わらず水が嫌いなこなつだから、波が押し寄せてくると慌てて逃げるの繰り返し。
Konatsu still hates water, so when the waves come in, she hurriedly ran away.
7時前ですが道路はもう渋滞しています。
It’s before 7 o’clock, but the road is already congested.
少しの間にも次々とワンコが歩いてきます。
Dogs are walking one after another for a short while.

今年のGWは出かける予定もなく、普段と変わりない生活をしています。
Currently, Japan is in the middle of seven consecutive holidays called Golden Week. This year’s GW has no plans to go out and is living the same life as usual.
今朝の七里ヶ浜の広場には、アンちゃん、ルフナちゃん、こなつの3頭。
Anzu, Rufuna, and Konatsu came to Shichirigahama park this morning.
今朝はサッカー少年も野球少年も来なくて静かなグラウンドだった。3頭のんびり過ごしてきました。
It was a quiet ground this morning with no soccer boys or baseball boys coming. So, three of them were able to spend a leisurely time.
このあと場所を移動して海まで散歩することにした。
After that, I moved to another place and take a walk to the sea.
ここは七里ヶ浜プリンスホテル前の通りで、潮騒通りという名が付いている。
This is the street in front of the Shichirigahama Prince Hotel and is named Shiosai Street.
( Shiosai means the sound of the sea )
今回の非常事態宣言で駐車場は閉まっているようですが海にはサーファーが溢れている。
The parking lot seems to be closed due to this state of emergency, but the sea is full of surfers.
朝、明るくなるのが早くなるに連れみんなが散歩に来る時間も早くなったので、こなつも早い時間に行かないとお友達に会えない。
It gets brighter earlier in the morning, and everyone comes for a walk earlier, so Konatsu have to go early to meet her friends.
なので今朝は家を6時に出て七里ヶ浜に向かった。
So this morning I left home at 6 o’clock and headed for Shichirigahama.
最初に会ったのはハウル君。
The first dog Konatsu met was Howl.
最近こなつはハウル君のパパにも慣れてきたみたいで、笑顔で撫でられている。
Recently, Konatsu seems to have become accustomed to Howl’s owner, and is being stroked with a smile.
広い方の広場に移動するとアンちゃんの姿が見えた。
When I moved to the wider ground, there was Anne.
アンちゃんは少し前にカットに行ったばかりなので体がすっきり見える。
Ann just went to the cut a while ago, so she looks slimmer.
ボーダー軍団もいつものように訓練中。
Border collies are also training as usual.
今朝は早起きした分だけたくさん散歩が出来たね。
Konatsu was able to take a lot of walks as much as she got up early.
帰り道、ここはとても眺めが良い。
On the way back, the view is very good here.
今朝も七里ヶ浜の広場には沢山のワンコ達が集まってきました。今日は解説抜きで写真だけ並べておきますが、ワンコ達の楽しそうな雰囲気は伝わるだろうと思います。
