朝の散歩は家を5時半過ぎに出ていくのだが、1か月前と比べてもその時間は随分暗くなった。

富士山がピンク色に染まって見えるのはこの時間だけ。ほんの10分間くらい。

今日はこなつの歯石取りを予約してある日だ。午後に動物病院に向かった。

いつもは先生がハンドスケーラーで歯石を取ってくれるのだが、今日は治療を始めたら先生が私を呼びに来て「今回は歯石が沢山付きすぎているので超音波スケーラーを使います。無麻酔で出来ますよ。」と説明された。
Usually, the doctor removes the tartar with a hand scaler, but today, when the treatment started, the doctor came to call me and said, “There is too much tartar this time, so I will use an ultrasonic scaler. It can be done without anesthesia.” He explained to me .
これは終了後の写真。歯はキレイになったけど、歯石がビッシリ付着していたせいで歯茎が腫れているのが分かる。しばらくは歯磨きと歯茎のマッサージしないとね。
This is a picture after the treatment. Konatsu’s teeth are now clean, but you can see that her gums are swollen because of the tartar. I will have to brush her teeth and massage her gums for a while.
