So today I went to Katase Suwa Shrine. The other day, I went to Ryukomyō Shrine near my house, and my family has always put the good luck charm of Suwa Shrine on the household shrine. So today is the real visiting.
しめ飾りはまだ出せないかと思ったが、もう大丈夫でした。
We think goodluck charms are holly items. So we bring the old charms to the shrine. At the shrine, Shinto rriests burn those old charms with praying. We call it “Otakiage”
A statue of such a dog was placed right next to the “Otakiage” place, and Konatsu who saw it from a distance rushed in, mistaking it as a real dog. However, when she realized that it was just a statue,she said “What?”
I went to “Hatsumode” in the morning of New Year’s Day. Hatsumode is the first shirine visit of the year. There is “Ryukomyō Shrine”, which is a 3-minute walk from my house, and when I looked it up, it was built in 552 and is the oldest shrine in Kamakura.
Above is the main deity “Five heads dragon”. Legend has it that this “Five heads dragon” and “Benzaiten” at Enoshima Shrine are a married couple. There is a legend that if you visit Benzaiten as a couple, the couple will break up because Benten is jealous, but in the case of Enoshima Shrine, “You are not visiting Benten’s husband Five Heads Dragon, Benten get angry with it and break up the couple. “ Therefore, if you visit Ryukomyō Shrine → Enoshima Shrine in that order, you will not get angry with Benten, but rather the feminine energy of Enoshima Shrine (goddess) and the masculine energy of Ryukomyō Shrine (Ryujin) are combined. It is said that the balance between yin and yang will be adjusted and the power of good luck will increase.
Somehow, “Hatsuhinode” makes me feel like I have to go. Hatsuhinode is the first sunrise of the year. In Japan, it is celebrated as the first crack of dawn once a year and lot of people visit to see the Hatsuhinode. So, I went to the coast of Shichirihama again this year.

しめ飾りは末広がりの意味を持つ縁起の良い28日に飾るのが良いようで、そうしました。
This is “Shimekazari” In Japan, New Year is called “oshougatsu”, and the very first day of the year is called “gantan”. New Year’s Day is a very important day for Japanese people. We have many events and customs to celebrate New Year’s Day. “Shimekazari” is decoration of sacred rice-straw rope, and is placed across the top of entrance to a house during New Years holidays. It seems that it is better to decorate on the 28th, which means auspiciousness, and I did so.
松飾りも簡素なものにしましたが、これも一応必要なものだからね。
This is “Matsukazari” the New Year’s decorative pine branches. It is placed on both sides of the front entrance of a houseduring New Year’s holidays. It symbolizes longevity,prosperity and purity.
Konatsu will never know what the New Year is. But do you feel that we are somehow busy doing something? It may be understandable that meals that look more delicious than usual will be lined up on the table during the New Year holidays.

There two poster dogs in the temple here, Monju in the foreground and Ashuku in the back. Both are names related to Buddhism, and Monju seems to symbolize the wisdom of the Buddha, and Ashuku says, “When a lot of people live, it gets frustrating, but don’t get angry, don’t get angry.”

出発したのが昼前だったので途中茅ケ崎の蕎麦屋「賀久(がく)」で昼食です。
We left before noon, so we had lunch at a soba restaurant in Chigasaki on the way.
The soba here is very delicious. This trip is a trip for four people who love to eat, so the focus is on eating from the beginning to the end.
箱根に到着！ 宿泊は東急ハーベスト、到着後は部屋で少しだけ仕事して夕飯の時間を待ちます。今回楽しみにしていたのは、ここからすぐ近くの中華料理店「太原(たいげん)」での夕食。 Arrived in Hakone! What we were looking forward to this time was dinner at the Chinese restaurant “Taigen”, which is very close to here.

When the owner gave it to my wife, Konatsu ate it from my wife’s hand and was praised by the owner as “Great!”.
Take a walk in the nearby park. In the morning, we went to a hot spring and stayed until the check-out time, and when we felt hungry, we went to lunch.
We came to Motohakone in about 20 minutes from Sengokuhara, where the Harvest Club is located. We have lunch at “Bakery & Table Hakone” on the shores of Lake Ashi.
Today is Saturday, and people who are off work come to my clinic, so I’m usually busy on Saturdays and Sundays, but for some reason I don’t have many reservations today. I knew that in advance, so I decided to take Konatsu with me.

早朝の鶴岡八幡宮の前を通り過ぎ、横浜横須賀道路に向かっています。

その後、首都高湾岸線をひた走る。土曜日は道が空いているから1時間ちょっとで着きます。

Today, I would like to introduce the restaurant menu of Karuizawa Regina Resort Mikage Irrigation Water, which I went on a trip last week, and the soba restaurant that I stopped by during the trip. Regina’s breakfast and dinner are more delicious than they look. The soba restaurant in the latter half is delicious and unbearable for soba lovers.
I found out such an excellent goods at my travel destination last week. This is to pour wine with a needle without opening the cork of wine, but as much as you pour, argon gas with a purity of 99.99% will enter the bottle. The wine does not come into contact with the air and continues to age in the bottle, so the taste does not change even after many months.
However, in my case, if I open the wine seal, one bottle will be emptied in a couple of times, and since I usually only buy cheap wine, the cost performance is too bad!
The terrace seats here can be accompanied by dogs, and as you can see in the photo above, each seat has a heating facility for the terrace, and it seems that warm air is probably coming out from above as well. This is okay even when it’s a little cold.
